WHere is a simplified take on a cocktail from our latest cocktail list. This is a party-sized prepared mix that is bursting full of flavours associated with holiday season, rendering it perfect for your holiday party. Any leftover syrup to use in morning drinks, puddings, or for additional servings of the drink.

Makes enough for 10 servings

To make the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar

Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, serving 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Method

To prepare the Cordial: Combine the listed items inside a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating to dissolve. Then, turn off the heat and leave to reach room temperature fully. Decant into an sterilised bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to one month.

For the Premix: Combine the specified liquids in a large bottle, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using cheesecloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.

To serve: Pour 85ml of your premix to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and agitate lightly for one minute to chill. Pour into a chilled martini glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries and finish with a light spray with the mandarin essence over the top.
