Juventus Appoint Former Azzurri Manager the Experienced Gaffer

The Old Lady have chosen former Italian national team boss Luciano Spalletti to lead the team until the end of the season.

The experienced coach takes over from the Croatian manager, who was let go post the Lazio setback on Sunday.

Tudor arrived at the club in March filling the shoes of Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint following a string of eight matches without a victory.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.

Yet, the Italian FA let Spalletti go in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday moving them to seventh position in the league - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
