I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
